I love Nicole Fuller’s living room from the latest issue of Rue. It has that perfect balance of classic (drapes, chandelier, pillows, painting, rug) and modern (lacquer table, chairs, sofa, mirror). The pink, velvet drapery really makes such a statement. I don’t think I could ever pull the trigger on so much pink, but I love the grand, traditional-with-a-twist feeling.
I love the look of crisp white bedding with a fuzzy, furry blanket on the end.
For the holidays my boyfriend got me brand new white sheets and a duvet cover from Parachute, a company that offers high end bedding at a lower price point by cutting out the middle man. I can’t wait for the new sheets to arrive and I hope they live up the online hype. Now I just need the perfect faux fur throw the make take it to cozy.
I love getting a chance to see inside the homes of creative people. These pictures inside Gia Coppola’s studio were posted on the Tappan Collective’s website today, where there are studio tours of a ton of other inspiring artists as well. I love Gia’s photography and I love that she displays it all over her own home. You can buy some of Gia’s photographs here.
I’ve been reading blogs since the first design blogs started popping up about eight years ago. But I’ve always been a passive reader – taking it all in and never contributing my thoughts or ideas. I hope now I will have a place to share what I’m thinking, doing, loving and hating. Wish me luck.
